A small window will open so you can type in the name of your custom group. Right-Click on My Library and select New Group from the popup window.Click on the Libraries tab at the top, then click once on the "My Library" category to select that category. Make sure your background color is set to white. We're going to add a new group to the EasyPalette to hold our custom shapes. Now that you have a nice new custom shape, you need to add it to the Easy Palette where you can use it many times over. You can use it just as you would any other path object in PhotoImpact. You now have a new path object with a "hole" in the center.Change the color to green (most of the shapes in the EP are green). The mode on the menu will be Horizontal Deform. This is because the result of tracing your object is the creation of a path object. Notice that the menu bar has changed to the tools related to the Path tool.Your image will have a red bounding box around it. When the Trace menu opens, accept the default options and click OK. On the menu, select Edit\Trace\Selection Marquee. Click the Magic Wand on the grey part of your image.Set the attributes on the menu bar as shown below. This will cause the options on the menu bar to change. Click on the Standard Selection Tool\Magic Wand.To draw the circle directly on top of the square, hold down the ALT key, otherwise, start drawing the circle outside of the box. Draw a circle about 125x125 and drag it to the center of your square. Click on the Shape again and select the Circle.Note: You can determine the size object you are drawing by looking at the lower left corner of the screen where you will see the width and height of the object change as you drag the object with your mouse. Click anywhere outside of the square to de-select (or press the Enter key). Sizes do not have to be "exact", these are just suggestions. Draw a square about 150x150 in the center of your new image. Set the color to grey and the mode to 2D object. This will cause the options on the menu bar to change to the appropriate options available for this tool.
